There is mild discomfort expected during the treatment, which subsides usually within 24 hours. An effective topical anaesthetic cream is applied which significantly reduces the discomfort. Once the treatment is completed, the treated area(s) may feel tight and warm, and some swelling may be apparent, particularly around the eye area, if treated. Any redness that may be apparent will settle, often within 1 week after treatment, along with any red micro-lesions. This is temporary and quite a normal response following treatment.

All patients who visit Anna Baker Aesthetics will undertake a detailed medical consultation and assessment of their areas of concern. This allows us to approximate the number of treatments based upon the expected level of improvement from treatment, as well as the baseline condition of the area(s) to be treated. Patients can expect to need between 1-3 treatments.

We advise patients to withhold from application of make-up for 48 hours after treatment and to commence a broad spectrum (UVA & UVB) spf 30 (or above) used daily long-term. In addition, the treated skin needs to be conditioned with a suitable moisturiser to protect the barrier following treatment.

At Anna Baker Aesthetics, our key priority is the safety of our patients, and we generally advise for different aesthetic treatments to be spaced apart. Whilst MORPHEUS8 is a safe and excellent treatment for many indications, we do no advise patients undergo this treatment in the same area as another procedure on the same day (for example, an injectable treatment like dermal fillers). It can, however, be effectively combined with Dermalux LED on the same day to enhance overall results as this is a non-invasive treatment, which is clinically proven to calm skin post-procedurally.
